**Reports to:** Jewel Group Coordinator or Pastoral Leadership

**Role Summary:**

The Jewel Group Leader plays a crucial role in facilitating the spiritual growth and community engagement of individuals within the church. Jewel Group Leaders lead, support, and nurture a group of church members who gather regularly for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and mutual support.

They help create a welcoming and nurturing environment where partners can grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Group Facilitation:**

- Organize and lead Jewel group meetings, typically on a regular basis.

- Create an atmosphere of trust, openness, and respect within the group.

- Guide discussions, ensuring they are focused on relevant spiritual topics, Bible study, or life application.

2. **Community Building:**

- Promote a sense of community within the group, encouraging members to care for one another.

- Organize group social events or service opportunities to strengthen relationships.

3. **Communication:**

- Keep open and timely communication with group members to inform them of meetings, updates, and prayer requests.

- Maintain regular contact with the Jewel Group Coordinator or Pastor to discuss group progress and challenges.

4. **Prayer and Care:**

- Pray for and with group members, addressing their spiritual and personal needs.

- Provide emotional and spiritual support to group members during times of difficulty.

5. **Recruitment and Growth:**

- Encourage the growth of the group by inviting new members or assisting in the formation of new jewel groups.

- Support the church's vision and mission through the growth and development of jewel groups.


**Qualifications:**

- A committed Christian with a mature and growing faith.

- A member in good standing of the church or religious organization.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to facilitate discussions and maintain group dynamics.

- Willingness to learn and follow the church's doctrine and policies.

**Time Commitment:**

Small Group Leaders should be prepared to commit time to group meetings, personal study, and care for group members. The specific time commitment may vary based on the frequency and activities of the group.
